Sustainability is often buried in buzzwords like “eco-friendly” or “earth-loving.” But at Goldstar®, we know that for our partners in the promotional industry, trust is built on data, not slogans.
Our newly released 2025 ESG Report shows the “how” and “why.” We’re not claiming to be perfect, but we are committed to being transparent about exactly where we stand on the products, people, and processes that drive our business.
1. Data
We believe true environmental claims are measurable. Over the last year, we focused heavily on packaging…one of the sneakiest contributors to waste in our industry.
- We are actively transitioning away from PVC and Polystyrene entirely, moving toward problematic plastic removal.
2. Verification
To avoid “greenwashing,” we rely on independent, third-party experts to grade our homework.
- 99% of our paper-based packaging, along with our bamboo, cardboard, cork, and other wood-fiber product lines, are FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. This ensures materials are sourced from responsibly managed forests, not just nature-inspired, but genuinely sustainable.
3. Traceability
- It’s easy to say a bag is made of “recycled content,” but where did it come from? We’re solving that with Digital Product Passports (DPP). By using Aware™ Tracer technology, physical markers embedded in the raw fiber, we can now verify the origin of many of our textile materials. A quick scan of a QR code shares the journey from facility to the finished product.
4. The Social Side
A product isn’t sustainable if the hands that made it weren’t treated ethically. Our report highlights our inclusivity
- We don’t just talk about inclusion…we track it. Our team is 66% female, with women holding 56% of our management roles globally.
It’s a Journey…
We aren’t here to tell you we’ve “saved the planet.” We’re here to show you the steps we’re taking to make the branded merchandise industry a little more responsible.
